Over the past few years, I’ve gottten quite busy online, running two blogs, managing multiple websites, writing numerous articles and publishing several different newsletters. Actually, it got to be a bit much, so last year I decided to “retire” my oldest and longest running online newsletter, “Bodybuilding And Fitness Secrets” and consolidate my time and effort into one ezine, the Burn The Fat weekly ezine (in conjunction with this blog). After an avalanche of protests, I was, ahem, “forced” to bring that newsletter back and the latest issue is now online…
Below is the announcement I recently sent to my TomVenuto.com newsletter subscriber list. This is a free newsletter that is open to the public. I realize that a lot of people who subscribe to the burn the fat ezine probably didn’t even know I also published a free online monthly newsletter as well, so you can find the all the info below

It’s been quite a while since we’ve published a “bodybuilding & fitness secrets” (BFS) newsletter attomvenuto.com. The last issue was about four months ago.
The reason is, I had actually intended to “retire” this BFSnewsletter and only continue with my shorter weekly ezinefrom The Burn Thef Fat. Com website
My schedule had become so booked since I took on so manynew projects, such as a members-only website community amongothers, that I felt that it was just time to consolidatemy time and efforts into just one ezine.
However…
When a handful of subscribers found out about my intentto terminate the monthly BFS newsletter from Tom venuto.comthere was a near “mutiny!”
I have been getting dozens and dozens of emails from subscriberswondering what happened to the newsletter. I’ve been publishingit since 1999 and had some subscribers going back 7 or 8 years! They could hardly believe I would even consider stopping.
Every single person I spoke to or corresponded with told methat the monthly full length BFS newsletter had been theirfavorite for years.
Many people told me they really liked the way I had it setup into departments: my own editorial, the Q & A, the featurearticle, the monthly motivator article and the quotes ofthe month.
I also kept hearing that readers enjoyed the mix betweenfitness and bodybuilding how-to information with motivationalarticles and quotes.
I honestly thought that most people would prefer the shortweekly “sound byte,” type of ezines so I could end the BFSnewsletter, and just keep publishing my weekly ezine, but Iguess I was wrong (sorry!)
So, to make a long story short, We’re back this month with agreat issue of “bodybuilding & Fitness Secrets” and will continuepublishing in the future.
If you’re a long time subscriber, I apologize for ourabsence. If you’re a new subscriber, welcome aboard…
One thing I do want to mention is that with my current timecommittments, I can’t guaranteee I will publish every month, but I will publish at least every other month.
BFS is not an email “e-zine.” each issue is a full lengthnewsletter published online with 5 departments. I will simplysend you a short email when each new issue has been uploadedto the www.tomvenuto.com website.
Here’s what you’ll find in this issue (March 2007: #56):
*Editorial: 70 & 80 Year Old Bodybuilders Run circlesaround “youngsters”, by tom Venuto
* Ask Tom Q & A of The Month: Body Wraps & Waist Wraps:The Difference between LosingFat and LosingInches
* Article of the month: The Big Picture of WeightLoss, By Will Brink
* Monthly Motivator: Willpower is Way Overrated, By Doug Bench
* Motivational Quotes of the month

Dear Tom,Thank you for continuing to publish as I know your newsletter takes a lot of your time to produce. As a personal trainer, it is a great source of information and inspiration to me and by proxy to my clients. You helped me to lose 40 pounds seven years ago when I was 44 years old. I have gone on to become a successful personal trainer with a full book of clients and classes, and I owe much of my success to you.Thank you, Tom!Joni
Tom,I am so glad that you have not discontinued your newsletter. My life took a course of many changes in the last several months and I slipped in my discipline and motivations when having to find a new rhythm to my day.It has been a real struggle and of course some weight has come back in this season. But I am just now getting back on track. You have been a great help on getting me back on track. I had to restart by “renewing my mind” in yourbook and your emails. They have been a real lifeline for me.Thank you for the time that you spend in supply great information and motivation for me and many, many othersShane
Tom, I’ve been getting both of your newsletters for years.. please keep them coming!Mark.
Hi Tom, thanks for an inspiring newsletter! You mentioned a book called Scrawny to Brawny…however what book can you recommend for those on the other end of the scale who need to turn fat into muscle. I need an strength training and exercise manual for the other end of the spectrum. Thanks, Anthony
Anthony,Fat does not turn into muscle. fat and muscle are two separate and distinct tissues, and fat loss and muscle growth are two separate and distinct physiological processes.John berardis scrawny to brawny is a good book for the person who has the naturally skinny “ectomorph” body who is trying to build muscle, and not necessarily as a bodybuilderFor fat loss information look at my Burn The Fat program at http://www.burnthefat.com and for additional info on bodybuilding and muscle building nutrition, supplementation and training, look at will brinks bodybuilding – highly recommend it — http://www.brinksbodybuilding.com
