Welcome to another episode of the Burn the Fat Podcast, spotlighting the success stories of Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle Challenge Champions! Our guest this week needs no introduction to Burn the Fat regulars because she is so active and prominent in the community. Her name is Shana Grandstaff and she has proven herself to be a master of consistency, having burned off nearly 100 pounds of fat, keeping it off, and then shifting into some serious muscle building training.
Consistency and sustainability are themes you’ll hear repeated throughout this inspiring interview. You’ll learn about how she she’s sustained her healthy eating habits for years without restricting carbs or cutting out her favorite foods.
You’ll also hear how she manages to eat cookies, chocolate, ice cream, donuts, and pizza while continuing to maintain her fat loss and gain lean muscle.
Shana will share with you why she thinks tracking your nutrition and your weight is important, and how she does it successfully.
You’ll find out about her motivation to get started and how she keeps going even through obstacles, even serious injury. Incredibly, Shana entered a transformation challenge, had knee surgery during the challenge, then completed the challenge and finished with the winning team.
All her hard work paid off in her individual challenge endeavors as well, as she had a top 3 finish and then followed up with an overall win in the muscle and physique division of the Burn the Fat Challenge.
Make a note: Shana spent considerable time and put forth great effort to go from overweight to lean. But once she was lean, she didn’t stop. Her goals then switched to “muscle and physique.” And as you can see from her photos, she has been successful in this next phase as well… and still going strong.
Plus, she has also been recognized with the esteemed consistency award.
Shana closed with some important advice about one of her reasons why to be consistent:
Because “I’m not doing this (weight loss thing) over again!”
And, she leaves everyone with a great motivation tip:
“Be strong! You never know who you are inspiring!”
