Mark was the overall winner in the 2024 Burn the Fat summer Challenge in the men’s muscle and physique division. In only 12 weeks, he dropped from 203 pounds to 180 pounds. His goal weight was 185 pounds, so it was “mission accomplished” and then some. He also won the esteemed most ripped award, having dropped his body fat from 26.1% down to 14.8%.

But there’s more to the story than these 12 weeks. Earlier in the year, on January 1st, Mark weighed 246 pounds, the heaviest he had ever been in his life. In total, that’s nearly 66 pounds burned in less than 8 months!

These are astonishing results, and yet maybe the most amazing part was not Mark’s weight loss, but his health transformation.

Mark said that in January he was not only overweight, but also he had serious health problems. He had high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, sleep apnea, gerd, and heart palpitations that set his wrist-worn health and fitness tracker alarm off regularly.

He was constantly seeing doctors, who put him on as many as 15 different medications for his blood pressure, heart, cholesterol, and other problems. He said his quality of life was terrible and said he felt like he was 100 years old. But he was only 47. He he was a father and soon to be married.

One day, it reached a point where his fiancee said she was worried that he wouldn’t make it if he stayed on the same downward path. This was his wake up call moment. He knew he had to do something. He was worried too. He thought he would have a heart attack, and be here one day, and gone the next just like that.

Somehow he stumbled onto the Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle audiobook and listened. Being an engineer, he appreciated approaches to diet and fitness that were logical and made scientific sense and to Mark, this program fit the bill.

After taking in the information in the book, he also Joined Burn the Fat Inner Circle, and entered a Burn the Fat Challenge. The rest is history.

He not only achieved the weight loss results mentioned above, he also completely transformed his health. His doctors were astonished and took him down from 15 pills to only 1. No more abnormal heart beats. No more sleep apnea. Cholesterol low-normal. His fiancee is no longer worried about him. His kids look up to him and follow him around on his walks as he works for his 10,000 steps a day.

He took up weight lifting and actually gained muscle while losing all that fat.

And he did this in the most meticulous, measured, and scientific way, as any engineer would. He proved to himself that when you do it by the numbers (track your calories and macros), and do the work, the program works and amazing transformation is possible, no matter where you are now.

Mark saved his life by making a decision one day to change his lifestyle and stick to his commitment consistently. The success story in this interview could save more lives as well.
